This course will review what is known about individuals who have led long, healthy lives and the characteristics of the communities in which these individuals are common. We will then examine how this knowledge can guide the promotion of healthy aging and longevity in the naturopathic clinical settings:
1) The natural human lifespan, compression of morbidity, and techniques for life extension
2) The characteristics and experiences of healthy centenarians.
3) The characteristics of communities that contain an abundance of healthy centenarians.
4) How this knowledge can help naturopathic physicians help their patients live longer, healthier lives.
