The Warm Climate Grapegrowing and Winemaking Symposium was developed out of the recognition that a major part of the wines produced in the world are from regions with warm and hot climates. The purpose of this symposium is to bring together research scientists and industry representatives to share their knowledge and experience in producing high-quality grapes and wines in these regions.

Representatives from Argentina, Australia, Italy and the United States will present information about their warm climate regions and how they manage the vineyards to deal with the potentially negative effects of high temperature and low rainfall. Winemakers will provide information used to determine harvest date under warm climate growing conditions and how to adjust winemaking practices to maximize wine quality.

Growers and winemakers who produce or purchase winegrapes in warm climate regions as well as students and support allied industry representatives will benefit from the information provided at this symposium.
