Modern viticultural technology requires the collection and management of volumes of facts and figures to assist growers in making the many decisions that affect the quality of the grapes, the utilization of resources and business profitability. This session provides an overview of geographical information systems (GIS) applications in the vineyard, the latest on irrigation management technologies and a comparison of the various database programs currently available and under development.
