There are currently over 80,000 man-made chemicals in our environment. Many of those compounds are endocrine disruptive toxicants that mimic estrogen and lead to infertility. As naturopaths, we need to be able to educate our clients about the reproductive risks of xenobiotic exposures and have therapeutic tools to reduce the impact of chemicals on fertility. Tools include education on avoidance, methods to reduce body burden of toxicants and nutritional interventions.
