This lecture will review the research and theoretical basis for making distinctions between bio-identical vs compounded bio-identical vs non bio-identical hormones as well as a review on benefits and risks. The main focus of the lecture will be to assist the practitioner in key hormone prescribing issues and developing compounded prescriptions for clinical situations that arise in perimenopause and menopause.
