This lecture will focus on botanical medicines used commonly in the pediatric population from infancy to adolescence addressing common pediatric complaints seen in pediatric and general family practice. Clinical botanical protocols garnered from 23 years of naturopathic pediatric practice along with evidenced based materials supporting the uses of herbal medicines in pediatrics will be presented for pediatric respiratory conditions including otitis media, otitis externa, URI, pneumonia, flu, croup, pertussis, and strep throat, sleep disturbances, mood disorders, urinary tract infection, atopic dermatitis, seborrhea dermatitis, head lice, colic and constipation.
