A review and recent update on the benefits and risks of HRT in postmenopausal women. A focus of this lecture will be the scientific evidence and discussion of the "HRT window hypothesis". Other highlights will be androgen insufficiency in elderly women, the use of hormones and other therapies for age-related pelvic floor problems, atrophic vulvovaginitis, recurring vaginitis and lower urinary tract hormones.
