Bariatric surgical procedures are primarily restrictive or malabsorptive and while the outcome data are impressive for weight loss, there are many long-term nutritional considerations that clinicians must closely monitor and treat. This talk will provide clinicians with current guidelines and recommendations for the use of pharmaceutical medications for weight loss and management of post-bariatric surgery patients.
