Compliance with the Bioterrorism Act of 2002 will require an all-new level of analysis and reporting of everything touching the winemaking process. This session is designed to provide the most current requirements for compliance and tools to assist with the record-keeping and quick retrieval of the information about the source of the grapes, the driver of the trucks, and the receipt of anything added to juice or wine, or any part of the packaging that touches the product. Speakers will also provide an update on the status of the Food Allergen Labeling and Consumer Protection Act of 2004 and other issues on the horizon that have implications for the making and labeling of wine.
