This course is suited for the practitioner who is working with or wants to work with women who have breast, colorectal or lung cancer. The course is focused towards practitioners who seek to develop or further their expertise in the use of nutritional and botanical therapies in combination with conventional cancer treatments and management. The course is designed to give you advanced skills in evaluation and treatment of breast, lung and colorectal cancer with an emphasis on evidenced-based natural and conventional therapies while also maintaining a respect for the value of clinical experience and empirical knowledge. This course will also pay specific attention to targeting natural therapies and specific mechanisms and using testing to determine those targets. Other special topics include quantifying risk, risk reduction, co-management and case management. Our faculty for this course includes nationally and internationally known clinicians, authors and researchers. We are incredibly fortunate to have a leading radiologist in women's imaging, Maureen S. Filipek, M.D., Tina Kaczor, N.D., Barbara MacDonald, N.D., L.Ac., Donald R. Well-known surgeon Judith Richmond, M.D., gastroenterologist George Koval, M.D. and pulmonologist Michael S. Lewis, M.D. are unique in their collaborative management with alternative practitioners and experts in their specialties.
