This panel presentation will explore the role of acupuncture, Oriental botanicals and Oriental dietetics in helping treat people with diabetes. The panel will also discuss preventing the common complications of diabetes, including atherosclerosis, kidney failure, peripheral neuropathies and ocular changes and will address the timely issue of how traditional Oriental medicine techniques can be integrated with more conventional medical interventions.
