In recent years, evidence has accumulated that nuclear fission products in the diet appear to be the single most important cause of the rise in low birthweight, cancer, chronic diseases and drug-resistant infections. Both laboratory and epidemiological evidence will be presented that it is primarily damage to the immune system via the production of the oygen free radicals produced by strontium-90 irradiating the bone marrow that dominates at low dose exposures due to dietary contamination. The role of fission products in the diet as a co-factor in the AIDS epidemic, the rise of hypertension, heart disease, chronic fatigue, Lyme disease, auto-immune diseases as well as in the resurgence of infectious diseases such as tuberculosis will also be discussed.
