Lithium is well known for its use in the treatment of manic depression. This discussion will be limited to scientific studies using lithiium to enhance parameters of immune function in cancer therapy, in the treatment of thyroiditis, prevention of recurrent herpes virus infections and treatment of cluster headaches.
