Western herbal medicine is a tradition that encompasses many styles of practice and unique philosophies. This class will look at these various models in a way that allows the student or new practitioner to develop his or her own individual practice style. Core competencies needed for study and clinical practice will be reviewed using the AHG-BMA Exam Study Guide (included in fee) as a tool. We will look at western biomedical herbalism, folkloric herbalism, wise woman herbalism, and earth-based herbalism, to name a few.
