A workshop full of storytelling, folklore and fascinating facts as we trace the historical use of herbal medicines through various times in history and discuss some influential herbalists of times past (such as Hildegard, Galen and Hippocrates).
We will focus on some key medicinal plants and understand their application of use from traditional use, to current scientific studies. We explore the role plants have played and still play in the creation of specific pharmaceutical medicine. You will leave with a greater appreciation for plant medicine and the important role botanicals play in todays’ health care and society.
