Hydrosols, also known as floral waters, are an age-old way of working with the very essence of a plant in medicine. The use of hydrosols as medicines dates back over 5000 years. Traditionally, each home had a still where plant distillates for medicine were made. Over time hydrosols fell out of favor as essential oils increased in popularity. However, these days the aromatic virtues of hydrosols are being rediscovered. In this class, we will go over the uses of plant distillates in the home, in medicine, in cooking, aromatherapy, cosmetics and in work with the soul.
