DESCRIPTION: These two separate hour-long sessions for primary care physicians cover herbal medicine as commonly used in the consumer population, clinical herbal medicine, and research.
OBJECTIVES: Participants will gain an understanding of several medicinal plants, quality control issues affecting patients and providers, and applications in practice. The first hour covers prescribing with an emphasis on immunity. The second hour which may be taken without attending the first continues exploring herbs with evidence supporting their use to improve performance and relieve pain.
