This presentation will focus on nutritional interventions for detoxification of toxic environmental chemicals (xenobiotics) and harmful endogenous matabolites (endotoxins). Review of research on the essential role of nutritional precursors and cofactors in Phase I (cytochrome P-450) and Phase II (conjugation) detoxification and biotransformation reactions in the body.
