I am annoyed when told that herbs and drugs don’t mix. I mix them all the time. I am annoyed when told that herbs can’t be taken if you are having surgery. I use them together all the time. I am furious when told that an herb should not be taken by someone with x problem, because the herb improves x problem and thus interferes with drugs. Take the herb, I say; take less drug. What is the difference between what I am seeing and what I am being warned against? What are your experiences of using herbs as adjuncts to modern medicines?
