Though chronic prostatitis was previously seen as an infectious disease of men and interstitial cystitis an inflammatory disease of women, it has
become clear the two are different manifestations of the same problem a breakdown of urinary tract epithelium. Evidence supporting this contention along with herbal and other approaches will be reviewed. Cases managed over time will be reviewed.
